Hi BenQ deisigned this scanner for Win 98/Win 2000/ Win ME/ Win XP. I suspect no Vista Drivers exist for this device. Most of the references online for Vista or Win 7 drivers for this device are requests for help like yours.

The only site claiming to have the drivers is one I am not convinced about (seems to be very heavy on scanning, marketing and selling drivers and low on precise information - such site are, ayt best, generally only interested in putting cookies on your computer and scanning your computer to identify often unecessary software it can persuade you to buy and at worst, is a gateway for fake security software hiding malware). You may need to buy a Vista compatible scanner or Printer/Copier/Scanner. Most Vista and Win 7 compatible printers sold nowadays are multi-function, with built-in scanners, so stanalone, domestic/small office Vista and Win 7 scanners are rare, because manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers do not expect high levels of sales except at the commercial, professional end of the market. The term 'Drivers” is meaningless unless one associates it BOTH with an Operating System AND a specific item of Hardware. There is no such thing as' just' a 'Driver”.

There are XP VGA LAN Drivers, Vista VGA Drivers, Windows7 Audio Drivers, and Mac OSX Tiger WLAN Drivers. Mac OSX Leopard Epson Sx100 Printer Drivers, Mac OSX Lion Webcam Drivers, Linux Red Hat Midi Controller Drivers, Linux Ubuntu Media Player Drivers, etc. Drivers ONLY enable SPECIFIC Devices to function with SPECIFIC Operating Systems for which both Drivers and Devices were intended and designed. Drivers can almost NEVER solve problems in Operating Systems for which either the Drivers and/or the Devices were NOT intended or designed.

There is a certain category of non-Operating System-dependent Drivers called LEGACY Drivers that can sometimes be immaterial to which Operating System is in use, but such Drivers tend to be BIOS Drivers for simple, generic, commonplace hardware such as USB PORTS and PS/2 and AT PORTS (pre-USB Mouse and Keyboard Ports), rather than more complex Operating System-dependent Devices. Even where this is not the case, such Legacy Drivers tend to be for Devices with old redundant technology such as Motherboard Risers, Sister and Daughter boards, old (pre-PCI) AT Technology (as opposed to the current ATX), ISA Slot Devices and occasional old, basic, 2Mb, 4Mb and 8Mb PCI and AGP Technology Video Cards.
