True Type Fonts

I downloaded several truetype fonts recently which I've been trying to install in the fonts folder at the following location: Control Panel Appearance and Personalization Fonts. Several internet sites directed me to select ALT to cause the 'File' menu bar to show up and that under the 'File' menu bar, there should be an option to Install Font. I've done as directed and still, there is no option to install font under the File tab. I've also tried to drag and drop the fonts directly from the downloaded folder into the fonts folder and nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this?

Is this a firewall issue? How do I get the 'Install Font' option to show up under the file option? Hi Kess, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the issue that you are currently facing, we will try the best we can to resolve your issue. I would like to inform you that there's no clearly identified option to add new fonts, you can just drag any TrueType font file to the main window containing all your other installed fonts. I suggest you to follow the steps below and check: 1.

Press windows key + R and type the following command and hit Enter.%windir% fonts 2. Drag any TrueType font file to the font window and check. Unfortunately as of now, you will not be able to change the font in Windows 10. However you may find this feature available in future builds.
